David Bosman, the founder and president of BOSS MODELS passed away yesterday afternoon, suddenly of heart failure, leaving us in a state of disbelief and sorrow. After a prolonged stay in the hospital this past February, he was slowly recovering his health until yesterday, when his heart gave out. We will remember David's devotion to fashion and his love of beauty in any form, in addition to his extraordinary, natural talent in capturing beauty as an accomplished photographer. He was indeed an inspiration to many young people, who considered him a mentor and supporter. David created Boss Models 24 years ago, at the age of 31, and by the time he was 39 had agencies in New York, London, Cape Town and South Beach Miami. Although with the internet, the modeling industry has changed drastically over the past several years, David's love of the business remained constant, and he instilled that into his present staff, who are inspired by his life and legacy. On behalf of myself, Sarah Whicker, as director, and the staff of Boss Models, I extend my condolences to the many individuals who loved and respected David, and will miss him as sorely as we all will.
